DEFECT SEALING (LAST PART)
A difference so high inevitably leads to create a by-pass on the seal: the fluid, once the cartridge is in work, if the differential pressure between the dirty and clean side increases, will tend to choose the path less tiring to cross the filtration media. The absence of filtration of the fluid, contributed to pollute the same fluid which created problems to the system.
We proceeded to install a particle counter in the filter exit manifold, measuring the contamination with the ink cartridge with the wrong OR and the correct one. We found that the solid particle contamination drop down with correct gaskets. After making sure of the cause of the problem, it was decided to install filter elements sealed correct and the problem was solved.
